On my way to Luxembourg I had a great 2 hour tour of Brussels with Susan which included an AMAZING Belgium lunch, chocolates, cookies and a quick running tour of all the important pretty buildings... (obviously I have to return)... but it was great
Then,,, it was on to Luxembourg where I walked into a home that smelled amazing! Emily made the best dinner before we went for a great walk into the old center of town and had a Kir Royal at a local pub.
Tomorrow.. who knows... a little touring of Luxembourg... possibly a trip to Germany... but whatever it is lots of pics for sure... of course!
Love,
A
BTW.. .notice the pic of ChiChi's .. really in Luxembourg... I didn't even think they still had them in Michigan...
In true Detroit style... we're heading out at 2am to go watch the Redwings game... SOOO STOKED.. just trying to get this last blog entry in so I can catch a tiny bit a sleep before...
Then tomorrow off to Brussels for lunch and on to Luxembourg to meet up with Emly & Gerry!!
I'll take one of everything!! Never knew I could get such a craving for sweets from pictures, but your pictures captured everything so well, I could almost smell the chocolate...

I talked to her for the first time the night before I arrived and it was like no time had past we were still the two sweet talkative giggling girls we were ten years ago... its hard to believe that its been that long
So after a few hours of catching up over some strange Belgium liquor we wondered into the streets with Lexi for a little tour of the city. I'll admit I really had no idea what to expect from this city ... I thought it was some big industrial city but boy was I wrong its flipping adorable.
My last night... amazing... how cool is it is to have dinner with not one not two not three but FOUR friends from Santa Barbara who just happen to be in The Hague at the same time... all of us there for different reasons, different times... it was so great to see Lee & Shana... and of course Tessa and Kevin... here are jsut a last few images from that night

Hello you awesome girl, what an amazing trip, thank you for sharing, part of it was like going home for me. I swear I put on a couple pounds looking at all those yummy sweets and bake goods, nobody does it better then the Europeans. I am looking forward to talking with mom, I think she is coming home tomorrow....Love Heidi
(06.09.09 @ 04:46 PM)This just fills my heart with joy to see you all together like this!!!!!!
(06.28.09 @ 09:39 PM)I realized ... while walking the streets of Amsterdam how similar the world can be ; I wandered into the coolest little vintage shop and as looking at the most colorful tutus (yes.. .I want a tutu)... the song that started playing was "I rode my bicycle past your window last night...".. I was instantly transported into a very similar vintage store in SF with the same song and my funky cool friend Paula...
Then... I went to the Van Gogh museum and saw Starry Night... it was soooo special for me... obviously because it is a beautiful and impressive work of art... but even more so because when I was in college I had to do a replica of it AND crazy enough it was stolen off the wall in the art center where it was hanging... funny how seeing it live totally took me back and felt as if my life had completed some strange circle.
And of course it was quite a wonderful day of photo taking from the canals to the red light district.
